The PBLWorks Community is a space is for educators, school leaders, and others who share our mission to bring high-quality Project Based Learning (PBL) to all students. It's a place to collaborate, learn from one another, and support each other in our practice.
Note: The Community is included with a full TEACH subscription. If you're on a free trial, you'll see a lock icon next to Community and on the PBL Lounge panel.
Open the Community
In TEACH, click Community in the top bar, at the upper right of any page.
The Community opens in a new browser tab at community.pblworks.org.
The first time you visit, you may be asked to sign in. Use your PBLWorks account, the same one you use for TEACH. After that, you'll stay signed in.
Getting started in the Community
Review the Community Guidelines. To keep this space welcoming, meaningful, and joyful for everyone, please review and follow the guidelines found in the Community Guidelines.
Personalize your profile. Your profile is a place where you can add your picture, role, and contact information. It also collects your posts and replies and lets you search the Conversation Circles you've joined.
Join a Conversation Circle. When you join the Community, you're automatically added to the PBL Tips & Tricks Conversation Circle. Circles exist for many topics, including academic subjects like social studies, science, ELA, and math, and you're welcome to join any that feel right for you.
Share your ideas for TEACH. Visit the TEACH Wishlist to add your ideas and upvote others.
Note: Membership in the School and District Leaders Conversation Circle is available on request, subject to verification.
Good to know
One account. You use the same PBLWorks account for TEACH and the Community.
Signed in per browser. If you switch to another browser or computer, you may need to sign in to the Community again before the PBL Lounge panel shows posts.
Can't reach the Community at school? Ask your IT team to allow community.pblworks.org. See TEACH App Technical Requirements.
On a trial? Clicking Community or the PBL Lounge panel shows how to purchase a TEACH subscription.
The PBL Lounge on your Home page
The PBL Lounge is the Community's space for open conversation about PBL. Your TEACH Home page shows its latest posts in the PBL Lounge panel on the right, so you can catch up without leaving TEACH.
Click View all → to open the full PBL Lounge in the Community.
If you see Pull up a chair and a Join us in the PBL Lounge button instead of posts, you haven't signed in to the Community in this browser yet. Click the button and sign in. When you come back to TEACH, the posts will appear.
