Editing a Lesson Slide Deck

Create a personalized copy of a lesson slide deck using a Google Account.

All resources in TEACH can be viewed in the web app. To edit and customize resources for your classroom, you'll need to connect a Google Account (work or personal) to your PBLWorks account. Learn how to connect a Google account here.

If you have a connected Google Account...

  1. Navigate to the lesson Slide Deck

    • Each lesson in your project has a slide deck on the Lesson Steps page.

  2. Click “Edit your copy of the slides”

    • This button appears below the preview on the right side of the page.

    • Tip: A confirmation modal will appear the first time you initiate the process. After that, this button opens your copy in a new tab without showing the confirmation modal.

    • Click the button to open your copy in a new browser tab for editing.

  3. Edit your slides in Google Slides

    • Make changes to your personal copy as needed.

    • These edits won’t affect the original shared deck.

  4. Click "Present slides" to toggle between your copy and the original slide deck

    • This button appears below the preview on the right side of the page.

    • After clicking the "Present slides" button, a toggle appears allowing you to move between your personal copy and the original.

    • Tip: If you need to make more edits, both the edit icon in the presentation modal and the "Edit your copy of the slides" button will take to your copy.
