All PBLWorks apps use a single, centralized authentication system. Whether you access PBLWorks Teach (PBL curriculum app) or MyPBLWorks (PBL workshops and resources), any email address can be used to create your account. Just click on the sign up link at the bottom of the Sign In modal to get started.
Signing Up
After clicking Sign up, you'll see a new modal where can authenticate through Google or use a different email provider. We'll explain the Google pathway first.
Sign Up with a Google Email Account
NOTE: Google provides email to many districts and it's often invisible to users. If you're not sure if Google is your school's email provider, give it a try. If it doesn't work, choose the other path.
Clicking Continue with Google will send you through a process where you'll enter your email address and its password (Google will supply your name) to verify your identity, and where you'll confirm the terms and conditions. Then you'll be sent to the landing page of your app.
Sign up with a non-Google Email Account
In this case, you'll be asked to enter a first name, last name and email address for your PBLWorks account. When you click Continue, an email containing a verification code will immediately be sent to the email address you entered and a new modal will appear with a field to input the verification code. You'll have 30 seconds to enter the verification code into the modal. Completing this in time will verify your identity and send you to the landing page of your app.
NOTE: Check your spam if you don't see an email from PBLWorks.
If you don't enter the code in time, the modal will tell you that the code has expired and provide a link you can click to start the process over.
Following a successful sign in, you'll arrive at the landing page for your app.
And that's it!
