The Assessment Map shows a project's assessments the way the project was designed: backward from the final product. At the top is the major product students create. Below it are the deliverables that build toward it, and below each deliverable, the smaller tasks that build toward that. Use it to plan checkpoints, see what students hand in and when, and find the rubric for any assessment.

Open and read the Assessment Map
Open your project.
In the project sidebar, under Unit Guide, click Assessment Map.
If the project has more than one major product, choose one from the tabs at the top, for example Individual Major Product or Team Major Product.
Read the map from the bottom up:
Tasks (bottom) are smaller pieces of work.
Arrows show how tasks build toward a deliverable (middle).
Deliverables build toward the major product (top).
Each card shows the assessment's title, whether it's completed by an individual or a team, and how many lessons and resources go with it.
See an assessment's details
Click any card on the map. The assessment's details window opens on Assessment Overview.
The overview shows:
Objective and Student Prompt: what the assessment measures and what students are asked to do.
Completed By and Student Product: individual or team, and what students produce.
Learning Goals & Standards the assessment covers.
Builds Toward: the deliverable or major product this work feeds into.
Worked On and Submitted: the lessons where students work on it and hand it in.
To go straight to one of those lessons, click its name under Worked On or Submitted.
To see a rubric, handout or other resource, click its name in the list on the left of the window. From there you can print it, or edit your own copy if you've connected a Google account.
Other places you'll find assessments
Unit Guide Overview: the project's major products appear as assessment cards.
Lesson pages: a lesson shows cards for the assessments students work on or hand in during that lesson.
Clicking an assessment card anywhere in TEACH opens the same details window.
Good to know
The map follows the project's design. You can't rearrange or add assessments, but you can edit your own copy of most rubrics and handouts.
Card numbers help with multiple products. When a project has two products of the same kind, they're numbered (for example, Team Major Product #1 and #2).
