Mark a lesson complete

Learn how to mark a lesson complete in TEACH—simple steps to track your progress and access reflection tools.

Updated over 2 months ago

As you finish a lesson in TEACH, you can keep track of your reflections on things like student engagement as well as capture brief notes before moving on to the next lesson.

Marking a lesson complete also adds a checkmark next to the lesson in the left nav to help you track your progress through the project.

Marking a lesson complete

  1. Open your project and find your lesson
Select your project unit (like Community Recipes) from the sidebar.
Find the lesson you’ve finished teaching.

  2. Select the Mark Complete & Reflect button in the upper-right

  3. Fill out the survey and add some notes

  4. Click Save reflection & mark complete
After making your choices and optionally adding some brief notes, click Save reflection & mark complete to save your input.

The lesson now shows a checkmark icon next to it in your unit list.
Tip: The Mark lesson complete & reflect button label changes to Edit reflection which you can use to update or clear your reflections.

Change or clear your lesson reflection

You might find you want to change your lesson reflection or even clear it and start over. You can do this by using the Edit reflection button.

  1. Open your project and find your lesson
Select your unit (like Community Recipes) from the sidebar.
Find the lesson you’ve finished teaching.

  2. Select the Edit reflection button in the upper-right

  3. Edit your reflection or clear it
Once the modal has reopened, you can change your entries and notes and click Update your reflection to submit your new entries.

If you want to clear all your input and start over, click Clear reflection & mark incomplete. This will also remove the checkmark next to the lesson in the left nav.
